Family / Internal Medicine Physician Opportunity Near GREAT NECK, NY Responsibilities : Full Scope of Primary Care : Provide a comprehensive range of primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance. Patient Evaluation : Review patients history and perform physical examinations. Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care. Refer patients to specialists as needed. Clinical Diagnostic Skills : Demonstrate quality clinical diagnostic skills in delivering patient care. Review all test results and recommend suitable management, including preventive health recommendations and habits. Prescription and Treatment Plans : Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans. Relationship-Centered Care : Provide relationship-centered care, considering both psychosocial and physical needs of the patient. Record Keeping : Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records. Communication and Collaboration : Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care. Educational Participation : Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings. Qualifications : Degree : Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent. Residency : Completion of three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Experience : Open to both experienced and newly trained providers. Certification : Board Eligible / Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine. License : Must possess current, unrestricted New York State license. Registration : Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration. Enrollment : Must possess active Medicare / Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll. Certification : BLS or ACLS required. Communication Skills : Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written. Technology Comfort : Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
