OR Service Technician

UPMC Jameson in New Castle, PA is looking for an OR Service Technician to keep our Operating Rooms running smoothly! This full-time role is Monday through Friday, 10 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 30 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or on-call. You'll split your time between UPMC Horizon - Shenango Valley and UPMC Jameson, making a big impact at both locations. If you have experience in environmental services or just love keeping things organized and running like clockwork, we'd love to meet you! Responsibilities include providing environmental services for the unit including cleaning rooms and staff areas, disposing of linens, trash and hazardous waste, and stocking unit-specific equipment and supplies. You'll also clean appropriate equipment, assist with patient support activities, complete and document daily routine responsibilities, work cooperatively with peers, comply with safety policies, perform assigned work in a timely and productive manner, report equipment malfunctions, mix, use, and dispose of chemicals according to directions, and strictly adhere to all policies and practices relative to patient care, HIPAA, and hospital related information. High school diploma or GED required. 1-year previous job experience required in lieu of high school diploma / GED. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, use housekeeping equipment, and prior job experience preferred. Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances include Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal, Act 33 with renewal, Act 34 with renewal, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
