Job Overview :
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to provide expert nutrition care and lifestyle coaching at the McChord Medical Clinic. The RDN will support active-duty military personnel and their families by leading nutrition education classes, developing action plans, and collaborating with healthcare providers to improve overall wellness and nutrition.
General Duties :
- Provide services within the scope of clinical privileges.
- Deliver nutrition counseling and education to patients.
- Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Specific Duties :
- Nutritional Counseling & Education : Offer individual and group sessions on weight management, diabetes prevention, and sports nutrition.
- Clinic Coordination : Consult with Primary Care Managers (PCMs) to support patient care.
- Class Facilitation : Lead wellness programs like Health Improvement Program (HIP), Diabetes Management, and H2H (Healthcare to Health).
- Outreach & Events : Organize and facilitate community wellness events.
- Program Development : Assist with clinical nutrition pathways and wellness initiatives.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Leadership Briefings : Provide annual assessments and brief leadership on base nutrition.
Qualifications :
- Degree : Bachelor's or graduate degree in dietetics or a related field.
- Certification : Current BLS certification; Board Eligible Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).
- Experience : Minimum 3 years in health promotion, sports nutrition, and group education.
- Licensure / Registration : Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Other : U.S. citizenship; successful background investigation; Tier 1 security clearance.

- Expertise in sports nutrition, obesity prevention, and chronic disease management.
- Strong communication, teaching, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule :
Monday to Friday, 07 : 30 AM 04 : 30 PM; No nights, weekends, or on-call duties.
Physical Requirements :
- Mostly outpatient clinic work. Must be fit-tested for N95.
Security Requirements :
- Must complete Tier 1 background investigation and obtain CAC.
