Job Title : Packaging Mechanic I Location : Monmouth Junction, NJ Hours / Schedule : 2nd Shift | Mon–Thurs, 3 : 00 PM – 1 : 00 AM Type : Temp - Perm Overview The Packaging Mechanic I supports the Packaging Department by maintaining and repairing packaging equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, line changeovers / startups, equipment upgrades, and root cause analysis to ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, and FDA requirements. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on packaging equipment (fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, bundlers, shrink wrappers, etc.) Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement activities Execute line changeovers and startups Support QA and Operations during packaging runs Ensure safe equipment operation at all times Requirements Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical / Biotech packaging mechanic experience Strong electrical background Hands-on experience with fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, bundlers, shrink wrappers, etc. Must pass pre-employment and physical High school / GED Proficient in manufacturing procedures, FDA regulations, cGMPs, SOPs Ability to read / interpreting safety, maintenance, and procedure manuals Basic PC skills Willingness to work overtime as needed Preferred Requirements Trade school or technical certification Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Stand for extended periods Use of PPE as required #M3 Ref : #558-Scientific
