The successful candidate will work 12-hour shifts, three times a week, with weekend and holiday rotations. The Cath Lab features six suites with an average of 4-20 cases per day, maintaining a 1 : 1 nurse to patient ratio. Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital conditions, TAVR, MITRACLIP, and peripheral cases. Nurses will work within a team that includes one RN and two radiologic techs for regular cases and a four-person team for call. Cardiologist physicians are on call 24 hours a day, year-round. The charge nurse will coordinate patient care and field calls for any urgent cases. Shifts may occasionally extend beyond scheduled hours to accommodate emergent cases. Nurses may be required to take weeknight and weekend call shifts, averaging 6-8 call shifts per month, with a weekend commitment every 6-7 weeks. Emergent cases may require back-up support from nurses during weekends. Holiday call requirements are also in place. Scrubs will be provided for all personnel. Unit-specific orientation will span 2-3 shifts. This position is suited for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, acute care environment.
