Job Summary

The Executive Director, Control Management is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal control strategy that aligns with Trimont's overarching goals and risk-management objectives. The role drives enhancements in the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls by identifying and implementing strategic process improvements, conducting in-depth risk assessments, and developing control activities to mitigate identified risks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal control strategy aligned with the organization's goals and risk-management objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify and mitigate risks, and develop control activities to address them.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on internal control activities, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders, including executive management.
  • Collaborate with other departments—Information Technology, finance, business operations, and legal—to ensure effective communication and coordination of internal control activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 11+ years of experience in auditing, controls, accounting, or finance, with experience in a public accounting firm or an internal controls function of a public company.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Deep understanding of internal control and audit practices, methodologies, and standards, as well as risk management and governance processes.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct and integrity.
  • Demonstrated capacity to achieve results in a high-volume, dynamic setting.
  • Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
