We are currently looking for an innovative VP of Engineering to define and execute the technology strategy for SONIFI's healthcare product portfolio. This role oversees architecture, development, and delivery across multiple engineering domains. The VP partners closely with Product, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align engineering priorities with business growth, profitability, and customer success. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this position influences enterprise-wide technology direction, organizational design, and strategic partnerships. This position requires travel up to 15% of the time. This position can be home based or located at our corporate office in Sioux Falls, SD.

What You'll Do :

• Define and lead the long-term engineering vision and strategy for SONIFI's healthcare business.
• Translate corporate and product strategy into actionable technical roadmaps and resource plans.
• Drive innovation in cloud-native solutions, interoperability, and data platforms aligned with healthcare standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering organization with a culture of accountability, inclusion, and technical excellence.
• Develop senior engineering leaders and establish clear succession and talent development paths.
• Champion continuous improvement in architecture, technical debt reduction, automation, DevSecOps, and agile delivery practices.
• Oversee execution across multiple programs and product lines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
• Balance innovation with operational rigor, managing both near-term commitments and long-term platform investments.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, quality, and system reliability.
• Influence prioritization decisions based on technical feasibility, business impact, and customer outcomes.
• Serve as the executive escalation point for major technical or delivery challenges.
• Lead initiatives to modernize infrastructure, optimize CI / CD and DevOps pipelines, and strengthen cloud reliability and observability.
• Manage engineering budgets, vendor relationships, infrastructure cost, and resource allocation to maximize ROI.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data protection, security, and regulatory frameworks.

Generally annual base salary starting between $200,000 - $250,000 with bonus opportunity.
