Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,738 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : PCU Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours (18 : 30 - 07 : 00) Experience : 2 years preferred (1 years will be considered) License : Valid RN license Certifications : BLS and ACLS required, CPI preferred Must-Have : Cardiovascular experience required Description : PCU Nights position available. First-time travelers are accepted. Local travelers are not accepted. Patient ratios are 1 : 4. Weekend requirements are as needed and rotating. Floating may be required. There is no on-call requirement. Block scheduling is case by case. Clinical skills required include blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and central line care / management. Experience in managing cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias is a must. Knowledge of isolation precautions and IV insulin protocols is necessary. Candidates should have experience with procedural sedation administration / monitoring and sheath removal. Wound care experience, including wound vac management, is preferred. The unit has a daily census of approximately 38 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient age groups are adults and geriatrics. The unit consists of 55 beds. Additional details : The traveler will receive brief orientation on the unit. All required modules will be completed onsite during orientation.
