Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,177 per week in Phoenix, AZ

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty : Adult ICU Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum 2 years ICU experience required License : Must have a valid nursing license Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : Must have Level 1 trauma experience. Experience in a 600 bed teaching facility is required. Natural hair color and no facial piercings are necessary. Men must be clean-shaven for fit test. Description : The position requires a Registered Nurse to work in Adult ICU. RNs will be required to float among all ICU areas, as well as any MedSurg / Tele units. Candidates must be competent in maintaining a sterile field, as this is critical for safe patient care. The unit consists of SICU, MICU, and Trauma ICU. Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, GI bleed, DKA, and various trauma cases. Bedside procedures include bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and hemodialysis catheter placements. RNs are required to read and interpret their own cardiac monitor strips. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the schedule rotation, with three weekend shifts every four weeks. Self-scheduling is allowed, but schedulers retain the right to adjust schedules as needed. The facility expects nurses to demonstrate proficiency in titrating drips and handling advanced respiratory equipment. Travelers must have their own vehicles for transportation. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during the assignment. Charting will be conducted using the Cerner system.
