Job description

A rapidly growing multi-billion AUM LMM Buyout Private Equity firm with offices throughout the East Coast US is seeking an individual at the Associate level for a summer 2025 start. The firm specializes in Healthcare investments and offers flexible office siting options. Having recently closed their latest fund, the firm now has ample dry powder for new investments. Senior leadership from top schools and firms provides junior candidates with clear internal upward growth paths. Candidates with 2-3 years of Investment Banking experience in Healthcare M&A are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities :

  • Deal Sourcing and Execution : Identify, evaluate, and execute healthcare sector investments, including due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation analysis.
  • Transaction Management : Support all M&A transaction phases, coordinating with legal, financial, and operational teams.
  • Market Research : Conduct industry trend analysis, competitive landscape assessments, and target identification.
  • Portfolio Management : Assist in monitoring portfolio companies, strategic planning, and value creation initiatives.
  • Financial Analysis : Prepare LBO models, DCF analyses, and other valuation techniques.
  • Presentation Preparation : Develop investment memos, pitch books, and stakeholder materials.
  • Relationship Building : Cultivate relationships with industry professionals, advisors, and potential targets.

Requirements :

  • Experience : 2-3 years in investment banking, focusing on M&A transactions, preferably in Healthcare or Business Services.
  • Education : Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Business, or related; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Technical Skills : Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases.
  • Industry Knowledge : Understanding of healthcare sector trends, regulations, and dynamics.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of articulating complex financial concepts.
  • Team Player : Collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to Detail : High accuracy in work products.
  • Work Ethic : Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
