As an Environmental Care (EVC) Instructor , you'll play a vital role in supporting our mission by teaching and guiding our environmental care professionals-helping them deliver the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and service across our world-class hospital.

What You'll Do

Instruct Environmental Care Associates, Technicians, and Supervisors on proper cleaning, floor care, and waste management techniques.

Lead engaging training sessions that emphasize safety, infection prevention, and customer satisfaction.

Coordinate and prepare instructional sessions-scheduling, setting up training spaces, and maintaining materials and equipment.

Assess learner performance through observation, quizzes, and practical demonstrations.

Collaborate with the Training Manager and EVC leadership to identify learning needs and enhance departmental training programs.

Track training outcomes and provide feedback to staff and supervisors to ensure continuous improvement.

What You Bring

Education : High school diploma or GED required.

Experience :

At least 2 years of environmental care / services or related experience.

1 year of experience in a unionized environment required.

Prior experience instructing, coaching, or training others preferred.

Skills :

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to read and understand English instructions and safety materials.

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.

Knowledge :

Understanding of safety standards, cleaning procedures, and equipment used in healthcare environments.

Salary Range : Minimum 20.22 / hour - Maximum 33.38 / hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
