Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a pediatric setting. This position requires proficiency in performing clinical tasks, managing patient records, and assisting healthcare providers in delivering exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Take and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely updates to patient charts.
• Prepare patients for medical examinations by obtaining medical histories and documenting relevant information.
• Administer basic life support as needed and maintain current certification.
• Support the management of patients in various settings including inpatient care and emergency medicine.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal care delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
• Perform coding for medical records as required, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide compassionate care to patients across all age groups, including geriatrics.

Skills

Strong knowledge of urgent care protocols and procedures.

Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding medical-surgical practices.

Familiarity with working in a pediatrics or similar high-acuity environments.

Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.

Experience with electronic health record systems for documentation and coding purposes.

Ability to work effectively in both inpatient settings and emergency medicine scenarios.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare team members effectively.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate patient care documentation.
