Job description

We're Hiring : Exam Proctor!

We are  seeking  Exam Proctors  to support a higher education institution in Norfolk, VA. This is a great opportunity for individuals with strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining exam integrity in a professional academic setting.

Location : Norfolk, VA

Role : Exam Proctor

Work Type :   Part-time (up to 20 hours per week); schedule may vary based on exam administration needs

What You'll Do :

  • Fully understand and enforce institutional and  NBME  testing procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize and troubleshoot  ExamSoft  and  Examplify  software, as well as access the  NBME Test Administration  website for test facilitation.
  • Set up the testing facility by removing unauthorized materials and ensuring a distraction-free environment.
  • Oversee the orderly admission and dismissal of examinees, ensuring late arrivals are not admitted and documenting missing examinees.
  • Read test instructions  verbatim  to examinees and oversee the testing process with minimal disruptions.
  • Monitor examinee behavior for any irregularities and document any instances of misconduct or exam security breaches.
  • Complete and submit  Incident Reports  and other required documentation to the appropriate administrative office.
  • Maintain the integrity of the examination process, ensuring test security from start to finish.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to testing and other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For :

  • High school diploma required ;  Bachelor’s degree preferred .
  • Minimum of  three (3) years of experience in an educational environment , or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in  instructional / testing environments  is a plus.
  • Proficiency in  MS Windows, MS Office, and Internet-based applications .
  • Strong ability to navigate and use web-based testing platforms effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
