Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York or compact state

At least 1 year of recent experience in Med / Surg Telemetry nursing

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts

Strong communication, clinical, and critical thinking skills

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to patients in the Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor patient vitals and telemetry, promptly recognizing and responding to changes in patient status

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders

Educate patients and families about health conditions, discharge instructions, and ongoing care

Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record
