We're currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our New Product Development team-someone who brings strong analytical skills, hands-on problem-solving, and a drive to experiment and iterate quickly. In this role, you'll help design and validate the next generation of Intralox products and play a key part in advancing the performance and reliability our customers depend on.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Mechanical Engineer - New Product Development (NPD)
Intralox, LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the New Product Development Department-where creativity meets disciplined engineering. This role focuses on developing new products by designing methods, tools, and equipment used to evaluate performance of Intralox's next generation of products and solutions.
We're looking for someone who brings analytical rigor , hands-on curiosity , and thrives in an environment where you're encouraged to build, test, fail fast, and learn quickly .
Key Responsibilities
Project & Communication
Develop and manage project scope, task lists, and timelines
Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities with team members and internal customers
Engineering & Analysis
Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using principles of physics, mechanics, heat transfer, and materials science
Develop and execute test plans for materials, components, and systems
Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions
Test Equipment Development
Research system performance requirements and define measurable results
Develop specifications for equipment purchased from vendors
Create conceptual and detailed designs for in-house equipment
Produce CAD models and engineering drawings
Specify and order components
Develop and implement control and data-acquisition systems
Assemble, troubleshoot, and qualify test equipment
Maintain equipment and train internal users
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of engineering experience
3D modeling experience (SolidWorks, Pro-E, Inventor, etc.)
Strong hands-on approach to problem-solving
Machine design experience
