Job descriptionNov 3, 2025 May 2026 Patient Demographics : Adults Patient Volume / Census : To be determined Admissions : Yes, inpatient coverage required Rounding : Included (1 day rounder model) Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : General internal medicine, acute inpatient management No. of Beds in Department : To be determined EMR System : Epic Office Equipment Available : Standard inpatient hospital resources Specialty Backup Available : Hospital-based specialties as available Support Staff Available : Nursing staff and hospital team Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : No (Expedited privileges not available) Credentialing Timeline : 90 days Hourly Rate : Range TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Acute inpatient care procedures as required by hospitalist practice Licenses : Active Virginia medical license required Board : Board Certified (ABIM, ABFM, ABEM, AOBEM); ABPS not accepted DEA : Active DEA (pending acceptable) Certifications : ATLS, ACLS, PALS, Preeclampsia Certificate required Experience : Residency trained, diploma required Other Qualifications : Immunizations including Flu (within 12 months), MMR, TB (within 12 months) Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage from 7a 7p shifts Manage admissions, rounding, and acute inpatient care Collaborate with hospital staff and available backup specialties Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR Complete onboarding requirements including orientation and EMR training within timeframe
