We are recruiting for a General (Non-Invasive) Cardiology position at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center.
We are seeking an outstanding general cardiologist who is a team player and eager to join a collegial, high-performing department within a truly integrated cardiac center. This is a well-rounded, clinically busy position offering broad exposure across the full spectrum of cardiovascular care within one of the most dynamic programs and locations in the nation
Clinical Responsibilities include outpatient cardiology clinic, inpatient consultative cardiology, attending in the coronary care unit (CCU), transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, ECG and ambulatory monitor interpretation

KP San Francisco serves as one of the major tertiary cardiac referral hubs within Kaiser Permanente Northern California, caring for a source population of over 4.5 million members. The position offers tremendous clinical breadth and depth, with exposure to advanced heart failure, complex coronary and structural interventions, adult congenital heart disease, electrophysiology and pulmonary hypertension. It is an ideal role for a well-rounded cardiologist seeking to practice at the highest level of integrated cardiovascular medicine.
Education and Research
The department has a strong academic culture and deep commitment to education and mentorship. Faculty work closely with learners at all levels—from medical students in the UCSF KLIC Program to internal medicine residents and fellows in our ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship (3 fellows / year in a 3 year program).
Our research portfolio is equally robust. The group participates in an internally funded pilot grant program, numerous site-based and industry-sponsored clinical studies, and large multicenter cardiovascular trials. Recent and ongoing research includes national leadership and top enrollment in pivotal trials such as EVOLVE Short DAPT, COAPT, PARTNER 3, SCOUT, APOLLO, REDUCE-LAP HF, CLASP IID / F, ALLIANCE, ACURATE, and LAPLACE early feasibility.
In addition, the department supports NIH-funded projects and collaborates with regional and national partners to advance cardiovascular science across the continuum of care.
About the Program
Kaiser Permanente San Francisco has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the #3 TAVR program and #6 cardiac surgery programs in the nation and one of the Top 50 Cardiac Hospitals in the United States. The department performs over 800 percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), 1,000 cardiac surgeries, and 500 structural interventions annually.
We serve as the regional center for multiple advanced programs, including complex coronary interventions, structural heart disease, multimodality imaging, adult congenital heart disease, and pulmonary hypertension—many of which are among the largest programs of their kind in the nation. Full-time annual salary range is $440,040 to $465,000 plus additional potential incentives up to $67,540
