Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with radiopharmaceuticals and imaging systems, along with a strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Order, prepare, calibrate, store, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for routine and on-call procedures
- Conduct quality assurance checks on imaging equipment to ensure proper operation and image quality
- Operate radiation detection devices and perform computer-based tasks using systems such as Meditech, PACS, and Syntrac
- Verify physician orders and ensure accurate charge entry for all performed procedures
- Maintain departmental records, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Valid certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (e.g., ARRT (N) or NMTCB)Hands-on experience with radiopharmaceutical handling and administrationProficient in quality control procedures for nuclear imaging equipmentFamiliarity with healthcare IT systems including Meditech, PACS, and SyntracStrong attention to detail, patient safety awareness, and adherence to radiation safety protocolsPreferred Qualifications
Experience working in a hospital or clinical imaging environmentAdditional training or experience with therapeutic nuclear medicine proceduresKnowledge of federal and state regulations governing nuclear medicineCertifications
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – PreferredEducation : High School
