At Good Samaritan, our rehabilitation team is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our team. This full-time position requires 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday. Our therapy program assists long-term care residents and short-term rehabilitation patients dealing with a variety of conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and balance-related issues. We are looking for a candidate who will align well with our team dynamics.

Job Summary
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with therapy activities and exercises outlined in their treatment plans under the guidance of a Physical Therapist. Your contributions will focus on improving the quality of life for our residents and enhancing their ability to perform daily activities. You will provide, monitor, and document therapy services to clients facing physical, cognitive, and developmental challenges, all in accordance with established practices and standards.
You will effectively select, implement, and adjust therapeutic activities consistent with your competency level, the patients' goals, and the specifications of the practice setting. Collaborating with the Physical Therapist, you will provide documentation on patients' responses to therapy, ensuring compliance with accepted clinical guidelines.
This position primarily involves post-acute, long-term care, and home health environments based on facility needs.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess the necessary educational background as per state licensure requirements, having graduated from an APTA-approved program for Physical Therapist Assistants. A valid license to practice as a PTA in the respective state is mandatory, alongside adherence to supervision and licensing standards. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of employment. A valid driver's license may be necessary for certain roles.
