Senior Accountant

Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the company’s internal controls and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and strong business acumen to help drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and experienced in managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, preparing financial reports, and supporting budget and audit processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintains the general ledger, performs general cost accounting, and other related duties in the accounting department.
• Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
• Reconcile ecommerce transactions daily and partner with IT to improve automation.
• Assist with sales order processing, invoicing, and partner with Sales/Customer Success teams to ensure accurate data imports.
• Process commission calculations and reporting.
• Manage deferred revenue process, reporting, and entries
• Assist with software automation projects, system mapping, and other process improvements.
• Evaluate existing accounting procedures and implement process improvements where necessary.
• Mentor and support junior accounting team members to ensure high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
• Provides internal and outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong software skills (NetSuite/SuiteBilling experience preferred)
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
