Job Description
About Us
Peace Love Wellness is a virtual group psychotherapy practice founded on three core principles : Peace (nervous system safety), Love (radical compassion), and Wellness (whole-person integration). We specialize in trauma-informed care for marginalized communities, centering the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC communities, neurodivergent folks, and others who have been underserved by traditional mental health systems.
We believe healing happens when therapists and clients share a deep understanding of how systemic oppression, cultural identity, and lived experience shape mental health. Our practice integrates somatic therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and transpersonal approaches to honor the whole person.
The Role
We're seeking a Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about serving marginalized communities and brings lived experience and / or deep cultural competency in working with populations who have historically been excluded from affirming mental health care.
You'll provide virtual individual and group psychotherapy to clients across NY while receiving clinical supervision toward full licensure. This is an opportunity to build your clinical skills in a practice that centers justice, liberation, and healing.
