Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Hauler is responsible for moving heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Hauler must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life Main Activities
- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and / or required
- Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
- Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Participate in routine maintenance
- Workplace safety
- Maintain inventory
Knowledge
Must have proficient knowledge in the following areas :
Knowledge of truck and equipment safetyKnowledge of operation of front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of heavy equipmentKnowledge of equipment maintenance and storageKnowledge of road construction and maintenance techniquesKnowledge of workplace safety requirements and proceduresKnowledge of record keeping systemKnowledge of equipment cleaning standards and proceduresKnowledge of proper chaining of all machinerySkills

Class A CDL w / Air brake endorsement and up to date medical card
Must be registered with the Clearinghouse
