Perform patient assessments and create customized treatment plans in coordination with the radiation oncologist. Ensure accurate positioning of patients and precise delivery of radiation to the targeted area, while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. Monitor patients during treatment sessions to ensure their comfort and safety. Evaluate patient responses to treatments and adjust the therapy plan as necessary, in collaboration with the radiation oncologist. Educate patients and their families about the radiation therapy process, possible side effects, and strategies for managing them. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, dosimetry data, and daily progress notes. Requirements of the Travel Radiation Therapist : Valid West Virginia state licensure or certification for Radiation Therapists Minimum of 2 years recent experience in respiratory therapy BLS and ARRT certifications Knowledge of radiation physics, treatment planning, and radiation safety protocols.
