Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and flexible Per Diem Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to support our outpatient Peripheral Vascular Procedure Center in California. The Rad Tech will perform high-quality imaging, assist physicians with image-guided vascular procedures, and maintain full compliance with California radiation safety and licensing regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong fluoroscopy experience, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
Imaging & Procedure Assistance
Operate fluoroscopy equipment in compliance with California Radiation Control Regulations (Title 17 CCR) .
Assist physicians during peripheral vascular procedures such as angiography, atherectomy, and venography.
Ensure high-quality imaging and optimal visualization throughout minimally invasive procedures.
Monitor radiation dose and maintain documentation required by California state standards.
Maintain sterile technique and assist with room setup, equipment preparation, and turnover.
Patient Care
Verify patient identity and procedure orders according to California patient safety requirements.
Properly position patients to obtain diagnostic-quality images while ensuring comfort and safety.
Provide patient education and reassurance throughout imaging and procedural steps.
Documentation & Quality Compliance
Complete all required imaging logs, fluoroscopy dose tracking, and procedure documentation.
Perform routine radiologic equipment testing and adhere to California QA / QC requirements.
Ensure compliance with facility, federal, and California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch (CDPH-RHB) regulations.
Qualifications (California Requirements)
Valid California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license issued by CDPH-RHB.
California Fluoroscopy Permit (required for vascular procedures).
ARRT certification .
Current BLS certification ; ACLS preferred.
Experience in vascular, interventional radiology, cath lab, or fluoroscopic procedures strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of radiation safety, sterile technique, and equipment operation.

High attention to detail with a strong commitment to patient and staff safety.
Knowledge of California imaging documentation and radiation dose standards.

Per Diem schedule , based on staffing needs and procedure volume.
