A Shift Lead is responsible for managing one of the working shifts. Shift leads are responsible for completing the duties of a Baker as well as maintaining store operations, including task instructions, attendance, and store performance. Additionally, their duties revolve around direct reports to the Assistant Manager and Owner / Operator.

Exceptional communication skills and a passion for excellence are necessary for success in this role. Previous leadership experience is a plus.

Shift Lead Requirements

Previous leadership experience preferred

Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills

Proactive organizational skills

An eye for detail and accuracy

Reliable, with a high integrity and strong work ethic

A team player with the ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

Professional appearance and attitude

Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products

Computer literacy

Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods

Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability

Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment

Stand, walk, bend, use hands, appliances, and lift heavy items for an extended period of time
