Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking Board-Certified Primary Care Physicians (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to provide locum coverage at a government medical center in West Virginia and affiliated outpatient clinics. This is a long-term assignment with competitive pay and travel coverage.

Position Highlights :

Start Date : November 2025 (upon credentialing)

Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM (no weekends / holidays)

Patient Care : 95% direct patient care, 5% administrative / quality improvement duties

Settings : Main medical center + CBOCs in Gassaway, Parkersburg, Parsons, and Westover

Duration : 6-month base contract with 6-month option extension

Pay : $150 / hr

Coverage Need : 3 Physicians

Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive primary care (acute, chronic, preventive care)

Manage minor wound care, respiratory, GI, musculoskeletal, dermatology, ENT, eye, and urology issues

Ongoing management of chronic conditions (e.g., CAD, diabetes, hypertension, PTSD, depression)

Document all encounters in the VA electronic medical record system (EHR)

Participate in required quality improvement and staff meetings

Comply with all VA clinical standards, safety, and HIPAA policies

Requirements :

Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Active / unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory

Current DEA, ACLS, and BLS certifications

NPI number

U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

Clean background with no history of license restrictions or revocations
