General Manager (GM) of Concessions
The General Manager (GM) of Concessions at Kia Center is responsible for leading and motivating hourly team members to provide excellent hospitality and delicious food to guests. This role is primarily focused on the concessions department but will also support the premium department as needed. The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader focused on people and quality standards.
The GM of Concessions reports to the Director of Concessions and other leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all concessions stations are set up and ready for events.
- Supervise operations during events, providing troubleshooting as needed.
- Re-stock concessions and bars to maximize event readiness.
- Implement concessions production sheets to ensure accurate production and minimal wastage.
- Complete regular equipment maintenance, such as beer line cleaning.
- Work with colleagues to continuously improve operational performance.
- Manage and resolve guest complaints.
- Complete events walks of the building.
- Support other properties and departments as demanded by the business.
- Complete point of sale updates and regular maintenance checks.
- Ensure the timely implementation and communication of promotions.
- Work with the culinary and purchasing team to ensure regular updates to the concessions theoretical matrix for accurate theoretical margin calculations.
- Ensure accurate end-of-month inventory completion.
- Manage product transfers and requisition sheets to accurately track products during events.
- Work in partnership with other departments to ensure accurate completion of the requisition process.
- Complete the monthly beverage wastage report.
- Support the recruitment and training of team members in standards and procedures.
- Conduct progressive coaching with team members.
- Hold pre-shift meetings to set the tone for events.
- Manage location "Keys to the Future" activities to develop future leaders.
- Support team member orientation training.
- Manage team member scheduling in line with demand forecasts.
- Verify payroll and enter gratuities.
- Ensure all appropriate alcohol service signage is placed and that Responsible Service of Alcohol protocols are followed.
- Complete and process alcohol incident logs to identify recurring issues or trends.
- Manage team member incidents / accidents and follow all required reporting procedures.
- Conduct monthly safety training for team members.
Job Requirements
2+ years of experience in a food and beverage operational position.High level of computer literacy.Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Bachelor's degree in hospitality management is preferred.Levy is a member of Compass Group USA.
