Job Description :

The English Department and Humanities Division at Bellarmine University invites applications for a part-time instructor position in English Composition : Introduction to Academic Writing, for the fall semester (8 / 21 / 2025-12 / 3 / 2025). The course description is as follows : Students engage in reading and writing arguments in a variety of genres. As writers, they develop their critical and rhetorical abilities to adapt to various audiences, purposes, and contexts. Students practice writing processes, with an emphasis on revision, and creating effective texts in multiple genres.

There are 4 sections for which we are seeking instructors : Mon / Wed 12 : 00-1 : 15pm, Mon / Wed 1 : 30-2 : 45pm, Mon / Wed 3 : 00-4 : 15pm, Tue / Thu 9 : 25-10 : 40am All classes meet in person.

Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.

Requirements :

Applicants must have at least 2 years experience teaching English Composition or some writing focused class at the college level and must hold an M.A. or Ph.D. degree in English, English Rhetoric and Composition, or a related field.

Applicants must be available to teach in person.
