Location : New York, NY

Shift : Nights 8 : 00 PM to 6 AM 3 to 4 nights per week

Pay : $42 an hour and up based on experience

Sign on bonus up to $15,000

Job Description : Full Time Night Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) New York, NY

Position Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced, NY-licensed Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Respiratory Therapist (RT / CRT) for a full-time night shift position at an adult sleep center in New York, NY ( Columbia University area ). This role involves conducting sleep studies 34 nights per week (8 : 00 PM6 : 00 AM) to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Testing and Data Collection : Facilitate polysomnographic tests and collect accurate data.

Equipment Preparation : Prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, sensors, and airway pressure masks per established protocols.

Monitoring and Recording : Record patient activities, monitor study quality, and document clinical events (e.g., respiratory and cardiac episodes).

Data Analysis : Score clinical events and tabulate data for physician review.

Compliance : Adhere to safety regulations and laboratory protocols.

Job Requirements

Education : High school diploma and completion of an accredited Polysomnography program required.

Certification / Licenses :

o Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification preferred.

o Valid New York State License (Polysomnography or RT / CRT) required.

o Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Experience : Continuous RPSGT work history with no gaps exceeding two months.

Other : Proof of immunizations required; must meet federal employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify participation).

Schedule

Full-time, 34 nights per week, 8 : 00 PM6 : 00 AM.
