Sustainability – Decarbonization Manager – Private Equity (Boston)

A leading global private markets investment firm is seeking a sustainability and decarbonization professional to join its growing function. This role is positioned at the heart of the platform, operating across portfolio value creation and firm-wide decarbonization strategy. Unlike traditional sustainability roles, this position is highly operational and people-facing, centred on driving delivery across multiple workstreams, managing complex information flows, and acting as a trusted conduit between investors, portfolio companies, investment teams, and senior leadership. This will suit someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving problems through coordination and communication, and can turn technical decarbonization work into clear, compelling outputs for internal and external stakeholders.

Investor Engagement & Fundraising Support

• Serve as the primary liaison between the decarbonization team and the firm’s Investor Relations function.
• Lead all decarbonization-related investor communication across multiple funds.
• Build high-quality materials for DDQs, RFPs, ongoing reporting cycles and ad-hoc investor requests.
• Support fundraising processes with sustainability-aligned materials and performance narratives.
• Coordinate information across teams, ensuring consistency of messaging and timely delivery.
• Synthesise complex portfolio progress into clear, investor-ready outputs.
