This role will report to the Dir, Business Intelligence & Proposal Management and is based in San Jose, CA.## ## Role SummaryBloom Energy is seeking a strategic and data-driven Manager of Business Intelligence to lead market and competitive intelligence efforts that directly support executive decision-making and commercial strategy. This role will be central to delivering high-impact insights, supporting strategic planning, and building scalable systems.## ## Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep research on competitors, technologies, and market dynamics across core and emerging geographies.
- Deliver monthly “market watch” insights, customer briefing documents, and executive-ready materials.
- Support strategic deliverables including Board materials, and QBRs.
- Lead market sizing and forecasting efforts using scenario-based modeling across segments and geographies.
- Build robust Excel-based models to support strategic decisions and pricing guidance.
- Track market fundamentals around gas and electricity prices in key markets and incorporate insights into strategic deliverables and pricing guidance.
- Build and maintain a centralized market intelligence database with vetted sources, automated data pulls, and defined update cycles.
- Socialize and iterate the database architecture with internal stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of insights aligned with editorial calendars and strategic priorities.
- Partner with Sales, Strategy, Policy, and Enablement teams to align intelligence efforts with business goals.
- Contribute to competitive positioning, objection handling, and market outlooks for target geographies.## ## Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- 5 years of experience in the energy industry, with understanding of key technologies, market dynamics, and policy frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Excel modeling and data analysis; familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
