Position Summary :
The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building.
- Sweep at the main entrance for debris.
- Clean front door entrance glass inside and outside to remove smudges.
- Dust window sills and ledges.
- Dust tables, chairs and all other furnishings.
- Dust mop all hard surface floors.
- Damp mop hard surface floors using commercial floor cleaners.
- Vacuum entrance door mats and all other carpeted areas.
Office Area Cleaning
Empty trash cans and insert can liners that are supplied by New Indy as required.Empty paper shreddersRemove and deposit all trash into containers.Dust off desks, being careful to work around paperwork, pens, pictures, etc.Dust chairs, chair legs, file cabinets, top of wall mounted picture frames and window sills.Dust mop and damp mop all hard surfaces.Vacuum all carpeted areas.Conference room tables will be cleaned.Conference room chairs will be arranged for next day business.Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
Clean and disinfect all tables.Wipe down chairs as needed.Replace all chairs up to the table in an orderly manner.Clean and disinfect counter tops and surrounding areas.Sinks will be cleaned and disinfected.Microwave ovens will be cleaned and disinfected inside and outside.Coffee pots will be rinsed out and replaced for next use.Clean and disinfect drinking fountains and water coolers.Sweep and dust mop all hard surface floors.Damp mop all hard surface floors.Damp mop all hard surfaces floors using a specially formulated neutral cleaner.Refrigerators cleaned and disinfected inside and outside.Vacuum entrance door mats and all other carpeted areas.Restrooms For Detail Cleaning and Sanitizing :
Countertops and surrounding areas will be cleaned and sanitized.Wash basins will be cleaned and sanitized.Mirrors cleaned from top to bottom.Paper product dispensers cleaned and sanitized.Restroom walls and partitions spot cleaned as needed.Toilet bowls will be cleaned and sanitized inside and outside.Urinals will be cleaned and sanitized inside and outside.All chrome fixtures and handles cleaned, sanitized.Air ventes dusted.Restock all paper supplies and refill all hand soap dispensers.Empty waste receptacles.Dust mop and wet mop restroom floors using specially formulated floor cleaner.Office Area Cleaning Service Once A Week
Carpet spot cleaning (stains no larger than the size of the human hand).Spot clean office doors.Spot clean walls around light switch plates.Polish chrome metal kick and push plates on entrance doors.Clean and disinfect telephone headsets.Polish and clean desk tops.Dust air vents throughout office area.Dust office room divider tops.Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications :
Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentEffective team player with good communication and listening skills.Education & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Must be 18 years or older.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts).Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and operate equipment in a manufacturing environment.Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision
