Job Description

The Senior Financial Advisor is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with providing professional investment advice and direction to Credit Union membership and staff. They will actively seek opportunities to increase income through proactive and effective advisement of investment and insurance products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and maintains long-term relationships based on trust and respect for members and employees.
  • Provides professional direction for members and employees through financial profiling, including risk profiling, and asset allocation.
  • Identifies and evaluates member and employee needs for alternative financial products that are offered through Investment and Insurance Services (IIS).
  • Provides regular training and feedback to branches, departments, and identified Credit Union executives regarding products, sales, marketing and business practices.
  • Works with Branch Managers and other department managers to identify and leverage cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develops and implements individual marketing / business plans in alignment with Investment and Insurance sales and other goals.
  • Provides those services and products that respond to member or employee needs in alignment with the mission of the Credit Union.
  • Addresses and solves business-related challenges as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or similar preferred
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 or FINRA Series 66
  • Hawaii Life and Health Insurance licenses
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Three years’ experience in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in investment services required.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Able to work both independently and cohesively with others, fosters team environment.
  • Able to handle all confidential matters professionally, always maintaining the privacy of our member’s account information.
  • MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent travel between branches
  • Frequent prolonged meetings with members

    The expected starting pay for the Senior Financial Advisor is $48,000 plus applicable eligible commissions.
