Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,942 per week in Richmond, VA

The unit has 18 beds and a mixed staff, including a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, RNs, LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. Day shift staff includes 1 RN, 2 LPNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians. Night shift staff includes 1 RN, 2 LPNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians. Nursing patient ratios are 1 : 6, while Patient Care Technicians have a ratio of 1 : 9. Equipment used includes IV pumps, PCA pumps, SCDs, and K pads. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is in use. Ideal candidates possess experience with NG tubes, feeding tubes, Foley catheters, surgical drains, and wound care. Typical procedures on the unit include surgical assessments, post-operative care, and patient teaching. Flexibility is the best personality fit for this role. Floating may occur between Med Surg and inpatient rehabilitation. Dress code consists of navy blue scrubs. Weekends are required every other week, with no on-call obligations.
