Contract Paralegal (3-Month) — Litigation / Personal Injury

Location : Dublin, OH (Onsite)

Type : Full-time, 3-month contract

About the Role

Aspen Careers is partnering with a small, plaintiff-side personal injury firm in Dublin, Ohio to hire a Contract Paralegal for a 3-month engagement. The ideal professional will jump in quickly to support active litigation matters— Strong Ohio Court filing experience is required ; personal injury experience is preferred .

What You’ll Do

Own court filings in Ohio courts (state and local) : e-filing / physical filing, service, and confirmation of acceptance; maintain proof of service.

Prepare and file short-form pleadings and discovery-related documents (e.g., deposition notices, routine motions, initial disclosures).

Calendar deadlines from court orders; support basic docketing and case tracking.

Coordinate and schedule depositions, court reporters, and interpreters; manage related notices and exhibits.

Assist with discovery (requests, responses, simple summaries, Bates labeling).

Communicate directly with clients, attorneys, and court personnel to ensure cases are progressing smoothly.

What You’ll Bring

Required : Demonstrated Ohio court filing experience (e-filing portals, local rules, service requirements).

Preferred : Prior personal injury or litigation exposure (plaintiff-side a plus).

2+ years as a paralegal or legal assistant in litigation.

Ability to operate independently with minimal training and manage multiple matters.

Excellent organization, attention to detail, and clear written / verbal communication.

Experience with Clio is a plus (not required).

Engagement Details

Duration : 3 months.

Schedule : Full-time.

Onsite : Dublin, OH (in-office role).

Compensation : Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
