Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety Leadership

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the site's safety management system to ensure a proactive, risk-based approach to injury and fatality prevention.
• Partner with plant leadership and employees to identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and drive the elimination or mitigation of risks.
• Lead and facilitate incident prevention, investigation, and root cause analysis, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions. Prepare documentation and reports to appropriate agencies, as needed.

Collaborates in the development and implementation of EHS policy and procedures.

Maintains records and documents as they pertain to the EHS Management System.

Provides oversight of location EHS self-assessment (audit) process and coaching of location Single Point Accountable (SPAs) persons.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Safety or related discipline from an accredited institution

4+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications :

Knowledge of the Howmet EHS policies / procedures and self-assessment / audit process is preferable
