Hospice RN - 7 On / 7 Off On-Call (Remote + Field Support) - Berks County, PA

We are hiring a compassionate and autonomous Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a 7-on / 7-off schedule, covering 4 : 30 PM - 8 : 30 AM, and the weekend, with in-person hospice support asneeded.
This is a full-time role with full benefits - while working only half the year.
That means :
- 26 weeks off every year
- With PTO applied, you effectively enjoy 28 weeks off annually

Provide after-hours symptom management and telephonic triagePerform in-person visits as needed for urgent patient needsSupport and educate patients and families during end-of-life careCollaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aidesComplete accurate and timely documentationDeliver care rooted in dignity, compassion, and respectQualifications
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS :
Help optimize the capital structure and support strategic initiatives.Maintains the agency's mission, philosophy and core values.Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations / processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety and emergency management.Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations.Regulatory Requirements
Licensed or registered in the state in which he / she currently practices..Must pass a criminal background check & MVR check.Completed health statement acknowledging ability to perform the duties of the position.Valid state driver's license.Proof of current automobile insurance.Current CPR card; On-line CPR certification accepted; Hands-on CPR certification preferred.TB testing per agency policy; (1 or 2 step TB skin test within 12 months of hire & annual TB symptom screening thereafter).Industry experience
Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to supervise others appropriately. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes. Completes Hospice training program.Active patient contact within past three years, preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferredEDUCATION :
Graduate from an accredited school of nursingCurrently licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the state.
