Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload
- This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
Required Skills / Qualifications :
4+ years of experience working with non-porous metals, such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless4+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures4+ years of experience using structures hand tools such as drills 45 and 90 degrees, pancake adapters, counter sink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns4+ years of experience working heavy structures : locating, drilling, countersinking and fastening structures (i.e. doublers, stringers, webs, seat tracks, etc.) to aircraft
