ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a travel nursing job in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. We are particularly seeking coverage during holidays, especially Christmas.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to form an individualized care plan.
  • Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient’s diagnosis through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
  • Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
  • Contribute to unit functioning by providing calm direction and reassurance.
  • Maintain communication regarding service needs such as supplies and clinical training.
  • Assume charge responsibility as requested following the orientation period.
  • Prioritize activities for effective time and staff usage in meeting patient needs.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Current BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

    This position operates on a Day shift schedule, consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts.
