We are seeking a versatile Tax Preparer / Staff Accountant to support both tax preparation and general accounting functions for individual and small-business clients. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, understands federal and state tax regulations, and can manage multiple client accounts with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare individual (1040) and small-business tax returns
• Review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Identify eligible tax deductions, credits, and planning opportunities
• Communicate with clients to gather missing information and answer basic tax questions
• Perform bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare financial statements and monthly reports for business clients
• Analyze account activity and research discrepancies
• Maintain organized electronic and paper files
• Support senior accountants during tax season with additional reporting and review tasks
