Travel Occupational Therapist – Medical City Plano

Position Overview

We are seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist to join our Rehab Therapy team at Medical City Plano . This 13-week assignment offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential therapy services to patients in acute care and inpatient rehab settings.

Location & Facility Details

  • Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM , Day Shift Only
  • Duration : 13 weeks
  • About the Rehab Therapy Unit

  • Staff Composition : 48 Physical Therapists (PTs) , 26 Occupational Therapists (OTs) , plus PTAs, Rehab Aides, COTAs, and Speech Therapists (STs)
  • Patient Ratios :
  • Acute Care : 8-12 patients

  • Inpatient Rehab : 5-6 patients
  • Equipment Available : Walking aids, weights, bikes, treadmills
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) : Meditech
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional mobility and activities of daily living (ADLs) therapy.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary rehab team.
  • Utilize advanced rehab equipment to support patient recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR .
  • Qualifications & Requirements

    Must-Have :

  • 1+ year of experience in acute care and / or inpatient rehab (preferred).
  • Availability to work / rotate two weekend shifts per month .
  • Preferred Skills :

  • ICU experience is a plus.
  • Wound vac management experience preferred.
