About The Position

Job Title : Stepdown ICU RN

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : 1 year of experience required, 2 preferred

License : SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start

Certifications : BLS and NIHSS required. ACLS and CPI preferred.

Must-Have :

Epic experience required.

Telemetry competency required.

Cardiac telemetry experience required.

Previous charge experience preferred.

Community hospital experience preferred.

Description :

Position available for a Stepdown ICU RN.

Shifts are 3x12 hours during the night.

Ratios are 1 : 4.

Every other weekend is required.

No on-call requirement.

Traveler may need to float within scope to meet facility needs.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Candidates must have a SC license or Compact license in hand prior to start.

Certifications in BLS and NIHSS are required.

ACLS and CPI certifications are preferred.

Experience in trauma levels is not applicable.

All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.

Approval for time off will be based on facility needs.

Facility can call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.

Total staffed beds at the facility are 286.

Employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season from June to November.

This role requires specific skills including accessing ports, cardiac telemetry, and management of dysrhythmias.

Candidates must be capable of starting and maintaining IVs, as well as managing cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Experience in community hospital settings is preferred for this position.

The daily census is approximately 15 patients.

This role involves providing care to adults and geriatric patients.

Candidates will interact with an interdisciplinary support team including physical therapy and respiratory services.
