Diality Inc, a privately held medical device company located in Irvine, CA is committed to improving the quality of life for patients with kidney disease. We are developing a smart, flexible, portable hemodialysis machine that will enable patients to self-treat at home or wherever they travel. The extremely versatile hemodialysis solution will allow more patients to benefit from their true dialysis prescription at home or in a variety of care settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and dialysis centers, without the need for pre-mixed dialysate bags or external water-treatment systems.

In preparation for the transition from an R&D organization to a commercial enterprise, Diality will build a sales & clinical organization. In the capital equipment and disposable business, the CTS will be accountable for training and managing the utilization of Diality’s hemodialysis solution within their assigned territory.

The CTS is a key position within the organization, reporting to the Director of Clinical Training and Support. The individual will be responsible for training and ongoing support of new and existing clients. The position requires strong clinical experience with equipment & device utilization knowledge. It is also a consultative role in assisting customers to improve and increase product utilization within customer locations while working closely with their sales and field tech counterparts.

A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate excellent clinical and training skills, judgement in engaging and communication with healthcare professionals, team, and excellent teamwork skills.

This role is critical in contributing to our mission of developing solutions that improve lives impacted by kidney disease by helping Diality commercialize and long-term growth.

Responsibilities :

  • Actively serve as a face of Diality to our customers and their patients.
  • Manage the day-to-day clinical relationship with our customers, which includes communicating customer experience and needs back to the organization.
  • Utilize excellent communication and training skills to educate a diverse range of clinical professionals within the customer base, including conducting meetings and demonstrations to support sales personnel.
  • Interact with all commercial and support teams such as Sales Ops, Field Service Marketing, Quality, etc.
  • Provides training and day-to-day support of the Diality Dialysis System among the assigned client base / territory.
  • Ensure optimization of care with placement of a Diality hemodialysis device
  • Responsible for continued support of Diality Dialysis System, corporate initiatives, documentation of new processes and procedures while providing direct communication of customer experience and needs back to Diality.
  • Be a trusted team member within clinical and sales organization.

  • Education & Experience :

  • Currently practicing RN, LVN / LPN, Dialysis Technician preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in dialysis preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare education, or training roles required.
  • Prior experience in the medical device industry preferred.
  • Experience in both acute and non-acute care environments preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Nursing required.
  • Physical Requirements

  • This role may include daily travel, standing for extended periods while training, supporting equipment use for newly trained clinical personnel treating patients and attending follow-up meetings with or without sales and field tech support.
  • Requires flexibility in managing interruptions, and changes in schedules.
  • Regularly requires the use of hands and fingers, reaching with arms, and extended periods of sitting and computer use, including keyboard and visual display terminal operation.
  • Must be able to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen as part of the job duties.
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel :

  • Most of the responsibilities are performed in a clinical environment.
  • Locations change weekly with the potential for multiple locations within a week.
  • Position may require up to 70% domestic travel.
