Construction Manager

We help turn jobs into careers.We're currently seeking a Construction Manager to join our Headquarters team in Orlando, FL, Houston, TX or Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on knowledge of ground-up commercial construction, preferably in a national / regional retail environment, and will successfully manage multiple projects in various states. Excellent planning and communication skills are critical for success in this position. This includes coordination with external vendor partners and internal teams to successfully open new stores on time, within budget, and at a level of quality that meets or exceeds Mister's standards.What you will do : Manage construction projects with competing timelines from conception to completionDetermine the resources (e.g., time, money, equipment) needed to create, manage, and fulfill project budgets within approved limitsJob cost estimating, budget creation, forecasting and close outCollaboration and management of general contractors and third-party vendor partnersNegotiate terms of agreements and review bids and contractsApply value engineering principles to increase facility valueOrder equipment and work with internal support teams to meet delivery deadlinesReport project progress on a weekly (and sometimes daily) basisAvoid issues through proper planning; resolve issues when they emergeTrack and analyze project flow and outcomes to prepare future reports and identify improvements to Mister's best practicesRemain calm under pressure, act decisively, maintain flexibility, and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentListen actively and communicate assertivelyHow you will shine : Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project managementAbility to travel roughly 50%Skilled at reading blueprints / schematics; knowledgeable about current building codesMust be able to perform miscellaneous construction tasks (e.g., pull wire, stage and install equipment, etc.)Work and collaborate remotely with limited direct supervisionProficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software packagesExcellent writing, communication, project management, and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detailCar wash experience is a plus What motivates our team : Excellent Benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, 401k, etc.Career Progression with a high growth, publicly traded company.Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) offered after 6 months of employment.Free Unlimited Wash Club Membership.It's your time to SHINE!
