Job Pay : Salaried $80,000 - $95,000 annual

Job Type : Full-Time, Exempt

Department : Business Administration

Reports to : Director of Business Administration.

Location : Diamond Bar, CA (100% on-Site)

Business Hours : Mon- Fri, 9am – 6pm

Job Overview :

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor to lead our payroll team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This role requires expertise in multi-state payroll, compliance with tax regulations, and process optimization. The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing payroll processing, managing a team, and ensuring smooth payroll operations across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Supervise and lead a team of payroll professionals to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing using Dayforce software.
• Oversee the day-to-day multi-state bi-weekly payroll processing (CA, AZ), ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
• Manage and process bi-weekly corporate payroll
• Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency and efficiency.
• Streamline our payroll cycle from 2 separate payrolls to one consolidated payroll.
• Implement and enforce controls to safeguard payroll data and ensure compliance with segregation of duties.
• Manage employee 401(k) contributions & inquiries, bonuses & awards, and other payroll-related transactions in compliance with regulations.
• Facilitate the 401(k) annual auditing by providing records and documentation to auditors and timely file Form 5500 annually.
• Review, validate, and correct payroll reports, ensuring accuracy.
• Oversee year-end payroll activities, including W-2 audits and processing.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate payroll staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax deposits and filings for federal, state, and local taxes.
• Address payroll discrepancies and provide guidance on payroll-related issues to administrators and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
