The Platform Product Group's mission is to build a reliable, scalable, and compliant platform that operates with speed and efficiency. Our diverse teams develop and maintain the essential platforms that underpin Coinbase. The Data Platform team specifically focuses on centralizing all internal and third-party data, facilitating easy access, processing, and transformation for analytics, machine learning, and user experiences. As an engineer on this team, you will engage with various systems, from foundational processing and data storage to scalable pipelines and internal applications designed to empower other teams.

Your Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and operate our core data services, including cloud data storage, orchestration (Airflow), batch processing (Spark, SQL), streaming services (Kafka), and time-series and graph databases.
• Develop and maintain data integration and processing SDKs for internal services across the organization.
• Create self-service applications to enable users to manage and troubleshoot their own data pipelines on our platforms.
• Implement end-to-end data security and observability services, focusing on access controls, data quality tracking, dataset cataloging, and usage auditing.
• Transform functional requests from data analysts, machine learning teams, and compliance departments into scalable solutions and integrate data microservices into platforms that support critical business needs.

Pay Transparency Notice : The target annual salary for this role ranges from $186,005 to $218,900 USD, depending on your work location. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include a target bonus and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
