Advancement Coordinator
Franklin Pierce University is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Advancement Coordinator to support fundraising, alumni relations, and stewardship initiatives. This role reporting to the Director of Advancement, Major and Planned Giving, provides administrative, communications, and program support to strengthen engagement with donors, alumni, and campus partners. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support for fundraising, constituent communications, and relationship management. The coordinator will also coordinate events, including logistics and collaboration with internal partners. Additionally, they will create, schedule, and maintain social media, digital, and print communications. The role involves assisting with constituent research, data management, and gift acknowledgements. Engagement with alumni and donors through outreach and follow-up activities is also part of the job.
Skills and competencies required include strong relationship-building and communication skills, analytical ability for data reporting and prospect research, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail, and effective team collaboration and discretion with confidential information. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree preferred (business, communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or related field) and 13 years' experience in nonprofit, higher education, or fundraising. Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and social media platforms is necessary, along with familiarity with Canva or similar design tools. Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills, event planning experience is a plus. The ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events is required.
