Summary of Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent, quality, skilled nursing services in accordance with the individual child's physician Plan of Care and ongoing physician orders. All care is delivered in compliance with the state specific Registered Nurse Practice Act and HealthCare for Kids company Policies and Procedures. The Registered Nurse communicates collaboratively and effectively with other healthcare professionals and the individual child's family.

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements :

• Valid Nursing License in Texas with no disciplinary action
• Must meet one of the following requirements.
• One year of pediatric specialty experience with emphasis on medically and technologically dependent minors, obtained within the previous five years; or
• Sufficient skills to meet the competency and training requirements as determined by the State of Texas
• Must be certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) CPR / BLS with AED and First Aid
