Georgia Western is searching for a Field Service Pipeline Technician (Oil and Gas) to facilitate both current and future projects within the oil / gas industry.

Responsibilities include :

• Follow safe work practices at the customer sites and in the shop.
• Wear appropriate PPE for task being performed.
• Ability to travel to various customer sites, often including overnight stay depending on job scope – a daily per diem is provided along with $5 / hr field pay on all jobs that require overnight stay.
• Perform preventive pipeline and compressor station maintenance along with other tasks assigned.
• Interface with customers, contractors, sales staff, account managers, and operations as needed.
• Operation and maintenance of various types of equipment including, but not limited to, crane truck, hytorc, flange spreaders, dial calipers, feeler gauges, torque wrench, hand and pneumatic tools etc.
• Perform pipeline related maintenance including, but not limited to, actuator installation, stainless steel tube bending, setting mechanical stops, greasing valves, installing valves, troubleshooting, taking measurements etc.
• Operate, service, wash, and ensure proper maintenance and security for Company vehicle and other property for which responsible.

This position may be exposed to a variety of conditions including weather, confined spaces, and loud noises.
