Strong Rock Engineering Group specializing in Civil Engineering and Entitlement of mixed use residential & commercial land developments. Located in North Hills, Raleigh, NC.

Role Description

This is a full-time in-office role for a Civil Engineer at Strong Rock Engineering Group in Raleigh, NC. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to Civil Engineering Design, Planning, Stormwater Management, and overall Civil Engineering responsibilities. We are hiring from entry level graduate to senior project manager.

Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering Design and Analysis
  • Experience in Planning and Stormwater Management
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Proficiency in relevant Civil Engineering software
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Civil Engineering, Licensed EI (North Carolina, licensure in other states not required, but will be considered)
  • PE License (not required, but will be considered)
  • Intermediate understanding of civil design and plan preparation including Civil3d, Utility modeling and design, stormwater design, grading & drainage design, and erosion control
  • Some understanding of Due Diligence and Entitlement
  • Some proficiency in Civil 3D, Hydraflow, WaterCAD, BlueBeam, and related software (varies by position)

Job Scope will include

  • Residential and Commercial Land Development
  • Engineering design, calculations, and reports.
  • Due diligence and site feasibility analysis
  • Assistance with re-zoning & master site plan administration including assistance with neighborhood meetings and public hearings
  • Initial Scope : Site plan and Construction Document preparation & approvals
  • Short Term Growth Scope : Exposure to clients and municipal staff; Project Management Training
  • Medium to Long Term Growth Scope : Project and Client Management
  • Client and municipal interaction
  • Business development not required but will be rewarded with performance bonus
